As the name suggests, you will be dining at a driveway! I would always pass through this diner as this is located on the main highway in Dona Juliana, on the way to the shortcut to Bacolod’s Government Center.
It’s very unassuming, just tables & chairs in a driveway but the owner and cook, Mr Nonoy Tan feels differently, “Food is my happiness, and this is my gift to my diners. Good food, just as God’s gift of second life to me.”
Driveway is a spin off from the famous Subway and serves good, freshly cooked, organic food. The ingredients are homegrown, Mr. Tan plans his menu according to the season and all the herbs come from his garden. He even grows strawberries!
The food is cheap at P99.00 per plate, with big portions good enough to share.

If you have a car, Driveway Café is located along Gonzaga Extension street, a few houses down from Sir Jess Café. When commuting, ride the Dona Juliana jitney (terminal is at Gaisano Downtown, in front of BDO, where there are chicken inasal stalls at night). Just ask the driver to bring you to Sir Jess Café, the Driveway Café is two houses to the right. They open at 7am, offering cape barako and their homemade bibingka with salted egg and cheese at P40.00. And the coffee’s unlimited! And let me tell you, their bibingka is rich, it’s not the typical airy pastry, it’s almost like a muffin.
The place is perfect for small gatherings; you can rent the entire space and have coffee under the vines at their cool lanai.
Since the food is only prepared upon order, expect about 15 mins cook time. So if you don’t want to wait, you can definitely order ahead. Mr. Tan may be contacted through 0919-384-0904 or 433-8241.
